If its in amazing shape it would be I guess. Lots of these have ended up like shit. I like the older generation, maybe the first gen. My uncle had one of these and I remember trips to the beach in it, cool truck. I'd try for 10k or less, get a head start on some BF Goodrich T/As and a three inch lift. I see the paint and rust shots so I would take the offer down, I doubt someone will buy it for that.

I flipped around for a bit on Hemmings - some are asking 20 to 30 grand for these. Didn't check condition, but wow.

CP. That's right up the road from me, and I see those on Craigslist all the time for under $5k in nice shape, under $3k if you don't care how nice the interior is. Since *all* post '75 cars have to be smogged in CA, even good late '70s and early '80s cars tend to be relatively cheap since they're generally a PITA to get smogged.

Huh, I guess they are getting rare, I have seen some that are just in terrible shape. There is a lot of cladding etc. and if they rust it could be a problem for a lot of them. If I seriously wanted one I would go for a 1st or 2nd generation, at least then I could see spending the money.
